Anyone know where in the states I can get plain boxes either paper or plastic like the ones used by 8mm vendors like Castle/Universal 8 or Ken. I have some reels without containers and I try not to use cans because I heard they don't allow film to breathe therefore abetting the VS process.

STEVE OSBOURNE at REEL-IMAGE, he has them - The 200' and 400' variety and they are white-hinged cardboard which work very well when the original boxes can't be had - TRy him - Shorty

Joe, is he in the US? Also I was wondering what the soundtrack has on it for "Wrong Way Willie"? I only have the SILENT edition of this Castle title and I have always been curious what kind of music track Castle used ( ie: Organ, Piano, etc.)? I never see it up for grabs either in S-8 or 16 SOUND. Must be real scarce. Perhaps Castle didn't run off alot of SOUND editions of "Willie".

Brad,

I have a few of the Reel Image 800' hinged boxes. Your films will be very happy inside them. The 200' boxes are .79 each, the 400's are $1.19 and the 800's are $1.99.

Steve and The Reel Image can be reached at:

or call 937-296-9036

For my 1200ft films, I get hold of the US EXPRESS MAIL boxes (free at any post office). These boxes are 12.5 ins wide and can be cut to length and thickness to accomodate 1,2,3 or 4 1200ft reels. I cut and tape the boxes up, and paste on downloaded prints of the appropriate film poster, descriptions, etc. ending up with a rather smart looking display case for the film.
