Oh well. It worked for one month.

Turned it on and ran a show tonight, no problems.

It was off for about 1 hour, turned it back on again. The leader jammed at the bottom sprocket. Went to back it up, and heard a loud grinding noise. Took the back cover off, and found the main drive belt jumped off the pullies. Attempt to put it back on, and an idler pulley off the 18/24 switch in the way. Took that off carefully to reposition the belt OK. Installed everything and it looked OK. Turned it back on, and now in the still mode the motor runs and the heat shield does not go up giving full brightness.

Oh well. Another goddamn Ebay parts machine.

Did this happen to anyone else?

Still frame devices? Remove them.Cannot understand why anyone would want to see a still frame from a film.If they are home movies then you may just have a point but taking a proper photograph would be better.Cine film records movement. They are a confounded nuisance when they go go wrong.Personally I do not need them and have removed them from two of my projectors.

My projector in question really does need a tech for this repair. Hopefully nothing is gone and the parts are fine just need to be reinstalled and calibrated. I gather this after looking at the email I got from Tom.

Can anyone recommend a good repair center, quick service and fair prices? Name phone email contact?

Thank you.

Chip
