Time to repaint my cinie screen which is a flat plastered wall with adjustable masking and motorised curtains.
Does anybody else use a white painted wall and what is the best paint to use to get the best and brightest picture or should I splash out on some screen material?

Steve Osborne of "The Reel Image" in the US sells proper screen paint. Well worth getting a tin shipped over. I intend to do so next time my wall needs painting as like you it's just a wall with masking. Keith Wilton's used Steve's screen paint and the results are very good.

White vinyl emulsion is cracking stuff to use.It has that little bit of shine on it to give that bit extra reflectivity. [Cool]

Wal*Mart interior flat white latex wall paint. I used this on my screen and she's a beauty :-)

Apply 2 coats allowing each coat to dry between applications. If using a true theater screen with thousands of tiny holes for sound penetration from behind, remember to use a standard roller for the application. Avoid clogging the holes!
