After long time not seeing Derann website, I found that they are still using Price Code Conversion List. So when we are checking the Super 8mm Brand new list, we had to click many times to get the idea of the price.

I understand in old stocking system (particularly in the manual system) this kind of list was helping the seller if there were price changes. Then, the seller only needed to change the Price Code Conversion List and keep the price tag with the code.

But, it is funny when we are in the Computer era and especially we are using the internet and found Deraan's site is still using this kind of Code.

Isn't that really easy for website adminsitrator to set up unseen codes which are connected to the current price. When there are price changes, Derann will only changes the master database and voila, all prices will follow to change. But the most important, the reader can easily get the idea about the price not the code!

Hopefully the Derann's website adminsitrator will listen to this.

Thanks,

That's an excellent idea. However, with modern browsers such as Mozilla which support tabbed browsing (multiple web pages within one single browser window), it's fairly easy to keep the price code page open while browsing the sales listings and jump between the pages for quick reference. At least to me, it's not a terribly big deal.

I agree Jan,
But with the way you suggested, it's hard to make a general idea of the price. I have an habit to do gist reading when open the classifieds in the newspaper. Quickly look to the coloumn and get the idea what is in today's newspaper.

It applies too when I was reading the Derann's second hand list. Prices were placed after the item and easy for us.
