I have just acquired a very nice little Elmo ST-1200. This I believe to one of the early models with mono sound and optical sound. At some time in its life a previous owner went crazy with grease and lubricated anything that seemed to move in the rear mechanism. The belts were contaminated to an extent that belt slip was making it run at around 10fps. All belts & drive pulleys have been cleaned & she now runs at the correct speed with a good sound output.
Before this projector sees any serious use though I really need to get access to the cam area as this is choked with grease & around twenty years of grime & fluff. So I need help with the following points.
Does anyone have a diagram on how to get good access to cam area for cleaning? Should any parts NOT be disassembled?
Is this the model that Tom had replacement drive rubbers manufactured for? Tom, do you have any rubbers left in stock?

Thanks for the update regarding the rubbers Mark. Regarding the cam, I am talking about the claw cam assembly behind the shutter.

Well, after nearly two weeks this little baby is now up and running perfectly. I would just like to thank Tom Photiou for his assistance in supplying the exploded diagrams which enabled me to strip the projector down to it’s bare bones.
I would also like to thank Kev Faulkner for his assistance via mobile phone. You can relax now Kev, hopefully no more late evening phone calls to tax your brain.
Tom, Kev just to let you both know that the bottom loop problem has been sorted! Simple adjustment of the second sprocket film guide spring required a little tweaking. Film was slipping past this area with acetate stock & jumping with Polly stock.
