So we each buy a copy and put it up on E-Bay as "Rare - New - Unopened" and get £50 for it!

Good example of the fact that what you don't know CAN hurt you!

I spoke to Derann Films a few days ago and they are awaiting delivery so this may be why someone is wanting one urgently. The thing is Derann have done such a good job geting this superb print together it is going to be very popular. It was shown at Blackpool in November on a massive screen and was quite breathtaking. If you have not got a copy yet now is the time to order from Derann as I think they can still up the lab order. My wife is nuts on this film and i am going to have to order my own copy as she is always running hers!! Another great title from Derann, and how they have kept prices fixed for so long now goodness knows. Thanks again Derann for another great Super 8 flick.

I have to second what Lee has said, this is a great little film. The print is beautiful, very sharp with vibrant colours, the film itself is very rewatchable and popular with audiences of all ages. A perfect film for Christmas.

I think another great short worth looking at is the CGI short "Boundin". It amazes me the quality you can get from that tiny frame of film.

GS1200 Xenon with Elmo 1.0...great combo along with a 16-CL Xenon for that super bright white light.

Don't forget that some people could be out of touch and may not know about sources of new material. Therefore, such instances may be opportunities to support Super 8 by raising the awareness of such collectors and get them buying on a regular basis.

I agree Tom, and yet, I'm also amazed at just how much I can get for my money on ebay. Two weeks ago, (before my savings for films took a major dive by an unplanned "wife film purchase"), I bought a print of "Flying Tiger" (John Wayne) on super 8, (full feature) for 24.00, and this is being shipped on two beautiful ELMO 1200ft. reels, so I'll probably be able to sell the reels, (As I can't use 1200ft. reels), and make back the price of the film itself. FREE FILMS FOR ME!!!
