I had made this a topuc some time ago but I'd lie to see how many people would be interested. My film group now has the means to create release prints on super-8. We're not going to go too far with the first. It's going to be a silent B&W trailer to one of our first film "Wolf in the Fold", which happens to be Black and White anyway. The trailer will be completely original from any other trailer advertising the film. It will also be stylized to look like a classic horror preview from the 30's and 40's. We were toying with the idea of have a soundtrack on a CD that could be played along with the trailer. The trailer itself would last around a minue mounted on a 50' reel with printed cover art on the 50' reel box. We asertained that we could produce these trailers at a cost to you of $10. If this has any kind of sucess, in a year or so we want to try to produce a full color stereo sound extract of another film we're shooting. The "Wolf in the Fold" trailer could in scope with out any trouble. But before we go ahead with anything we need to see if this something people will be interested in. So voice your opinions and questions.

Sounds very interesting. I would definately support this venture. Its always nice to have something a little different to show, too.

James.

Ernie,

Count me in! If you find a lab to succesfully print up your second project (color, stereo), this could lead to many wonderful things.

Sounds like a good idea but I'd say that it would help generate interest if we knew that it would be possible to see the full length films in some way or other. Any chance of that, and what sort of length will they be?

Actually, I posted about a year ago advertising the DVD of "Wolf in the Fold." It was completely shot in Super8 back in 2004 and was put on DVD in 2006. This August marks the fifth anniversary of Bonnut Film Studio (my film group) and we've decided to re-release "Wolf in the Fold" with added and impoved sequesnces. And part of this 5th year celebration we were considering making this trailer. I actually just finished the master today. Here's the old trailer, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBInpRVjbfE The new trailer, the one I plan to make a release print of, is going to knock the socks off the old one [Big Grin] But the DVD of the original version of the movie is available for $2.99. So jjst let me know if you're interested in a copy [Smile] It's 14mins with lots of extras on it.
