Well, most scope prints are quite nice, but it all depends on the company putting it out.
Any Derann scope prints are bound to be outstanding, (wait until you get Alien ... Poltergeist or the Original STAR WARS on super 8 scope...magnificent!!
The Universal scope prints can vary, but as a rule, they look much better than the flat prints of the same era.
Cinevision, along with the Tom and Jerry's, released some of the late 50's Droopy cartoons in scope, as well as the Tex Avery Classic, "Cats Meow". Cinevision released the even more rare Mr. Magoo scope cartoons from the 50's and these are not ANYWHERE in any other format. I have one of them, and it's a very nice print, (the original magoo was quite funny).
There are also nice scope rarities, like the original almost ten minute scope trailer for "Close Encounters of the Third kind", which has interviews with Speilberg and Dreyfuss.
Derann also released a few of the original Donald Ducks in scope, (VERY SHARP prints that put 16MM to shame, and thats NO joke.) as well as other one shot scopes, such as "Toot Whistle, Plunk and Boom."
Derann (especially) has done a splendid job of releasing nearly every decent sci-fi feature in thier original scope. i can't remember all of them, but others were ...
The Fog (original) Halloween (original)
Others like
Logans Run
Lots of them,
... not too mention TONS of excellent scope trailers!!
hope that helps
