The new Derann release "Baby Puss" (1943 Tom & Jerry) arrived on Friday but frustratingly my Elmo is in sick bay at the moment so I won't be able to run it until probably next weekend.

Anyone else received a copy and had a chance to screen it?

I watched this last night on DVD. Certaintly one of the best T&J's (but all fred quimby ones are good). It even features both Tom and Jerry 'Talking' plus a few musical bits.

Ive already ordered loads of new film from Derann recently but I would like to add this to the list. Rob, tell us what the overall print and sound is like when you get to run yours.

I surprised Derann didnt already have this as thay seemed to have all the good T&J's but mabye the negative wasnt available until now.

I saw this at the recent Ealing BFCC and I thought it looked quite good. It's a very decent Tom & Jerry cartoon, as Tom gets humiliated by his Cat friends. Print and sound were more than acceptable to my eyes, well done Derann for seeking out another lost Tom & Jerry.

Saw it at the BFCC, looked a nice quality print on the big screen & one of my favorite T&G's with Jerry dressed up like Carmen Miranda and another cat strumming the hit tune "I Want my muma" on Toms whiskers, but when I went to get a copy I was too late, they had all sold!
Just ordered a print today.

Hi Rob
Still thinking on this one, the last "Tom and Jerry" I bought from Derann and thats a few years ago was "Smarty Cat" only cartoon that I have seen with a home movie theme with Tom operating the projector, its one I would highly recomend excellent print and sound, hope you get your Elmo up and running soon.

Graham.
