I am often surprised at the amount of people that look at this forum, my thread about the Movie Maker Test Reports and Bootlace Film Reviews has resulted in numerous emails and requests from all over the world for copies of reports, and they are still coming. Many of the people who email me are “silent members” whose names I can’t attribute to any posts – but they are film fans none the less and are collecting and projecting super 8 in their homes, just like the rest of us.
This leads me to the remark I made on Winberts thread where I flippantly mentioned that I had been offered an Elmo Telecine machine by the photographic shop where I buy my film stock. Once again I have had a number of emails from interested parties, this time wanting to be put in touch with the shop so they can negotiate the purchase of said Telecine Machine.
I spoke to my contact there and in the interests of fairness and of not wanting to become a “middle man”, I agreed to give her the email addresses of all those that showed an interest and will leave it up to her to contact them and arrange a deal.
I am beginning to wonder now whether I should have bought it myself and auctioned it off, as these machines seem to be in demand. I had no idea…
I hope that who ever does get it gets plenty of use out of it.
Mike

Mike, hate to tell you, but the last couple on ebay Australia went for a few thousand each! Not sure what they would fetch in the UK, but they were certainly the transfer machine of choice for many years.
