The storm is heading my way here in Galveston, Texas.

I shot some Super 8 64T film of the approaching storm. The waves are crashing over the seawall.

I'm afraid I will be without power for several days, so this will be my last communication for awhile.

I sure regret not buying that hand-cranked gas powered lamp house projector on Ebay.

Regards.

This is my first time to be on the internet since the storm. We were without power for several weeks and without phone service (internet) for much longer.

Things won't be the same here for years to come but at least I have my business up and running again; a bar and restaurant.

I was planning on attending the British Film Collector's Convention in Ealing in 2009. I'm afraid now that my trip will be delayed for another year.

Still I hope to be there in 2010.

Regards,

Guy

Great to have you back with us Guy. The main thing is that you and your family are safe.

Look forward to meeting you at the BFCC Convention in 2010, God willing.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Keith

Welcome back Guy. I have a small idea of what you have been, and are, going through. Our house here in Orlando was heavily damaged by hurricane Charly in 2004 and it took the best part of a year to get things back to normal. That was a small scale event though compared with Galveston - I could not believe that you rode that storm out. Main thing is that you are safe, and hopefully your films and cine gear are still OK as well.
