Is there no limit to the distortions of truth (dare I say lies?) that ebay sellers will resort to to fool the gullible?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Super-8-film-telecine-projector-Eumig-Bolex_W0QQitemZ110400586558QQcategoryZ11722QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3907.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSIC%252BSICRS1%26it s%3DI]http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Super-8-film-telecine-projector-Eumig-Bolex_W0QQitemZ110400586558QQcategoryZ11722QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3907.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSIC%252BSICRS1%26i ts%3DI[/URL] %252BC%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BIEW%252BFICS%252BUFI%252BMRU-625%26otn%3D14%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D54

This charlatan describes the machine as " an extraordinarily rare projector designed fully by eumig as a transfer system from film to video." when it is simply a 926 with its simple daylight viewing attachment designed purely to facilitate watching films in daylight. Apart from the fact that it was designed at a time when transfer to video wouldn't even be in most people's minds, the size and grain of the screen makes it a most unsuitable and poor quality method.
And..."Im told it has a 5-blade shutter, but can not confirm this." Why not, you only have to take the cover off? A 5- blade would only be of use with 60 fps video cameras, and this one's in Germany. 'Nuff said!.

Having said that, it is a 926, and worth the inital bid, and more; what price will the lies push it up to? Does anyone know who the seller is?

I did send him a question... Why do you describe this machine as "an extraordinarily rare projector designed fully by eumig as a transfer system from film to video" when it is nothing of the sort? Would you like to remove this and the other misleading statements in your description before this listing is reported to ebay as grossly dishonest?
And I opened my emails this A.M., after the listing was removed, to read this...
Wow, thanks for your input, but what else is it? It is fully as
described, you don't like it? Then by all means look elsewhere.
Goodbye. ( The sarcasm in the answer is pretty obvious)
Did he have a change of heart? Incidentally, the Seller is located in Essex, UK. I trust the seller is not a Forum member; if he is, he will know that what he listed was untrue, and I stand by what I said...dishonesty is not acceptable.

Osi, Didn't your Instruction Book tell you all that? Oh, yes, I understand now...these were not shipped with Instruction Books because there's not one among the extra bits he's showing. Otherwise he'd know it was not what he said it was.. and so would the buyer!
P.S It's just disappeared from the listings again!

Maybe some "happy camper" bought it. If it runs just fine, 50 pounds for that particular projector is not a bad price. I paid 100.00 american dollars for mine about six years ago and never regretted it. Truly beautiful stereo on that one.

Still, I wouldn't mind that "mini-viewer" attachment. I have everything except that.

Re-appeared.... Item no: 110403753586
This time he has re written his description. Still very questionable, but just within the limits; using "transfer screen" in the title although he refers to "daylight screen " later. I still think that all his other adjectives are over the top and someone will pay over the top as a result. But buyer beware!
It's a cracking machine in any case.
