I got a new battery for my Bolex P1 and the battery check needle is doing what it should, centering in the viewfinder, but that's all. I can't get the needle to move otherwise. Does that mean the meter is dead? I don't have a manual so I am asking for your expert advice. Thank You!

you can pick up a manual at Old Timer

http://www.oldtimercameras.com/

if the needle is towards the centre then pressing the release should see it drop to the side?
