I have a Noris Norimat electronic projector which i have a slight problem with. When feeding the film it gets stuck after it passes the gate and the film jams and stops before it gets to the sound head?

Can anyone tell me what maybe the problem with it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Robert
I have one of these Noris projectors in front of me. It is the Norisound 322S.
They have an slightly unusual threading setup & switching on procedure.

Use the red button on the top to activate the loop formers. The operation of this also breaks the circuit to the lamp. Then turn the main control switch 1 clik to the right. Nothing will happen. Then turn to the 2nd clik & the motor will run but no light will switch on.
Feed the film into the slot. Let it thread itself.
The film is then advanced to the lower film channel where it strikes a trigger & the lamp will light & the film then continues on to the takeup reel. If you then turn 1 more clik to the right, you will get sound operation.

Earlier similar Norisound models are not 100% the same as this.
Other models will trigger the auto threading just by pushing the top red button. On those, the film will thread and then halt again in the lower channel when it hits a trigger. Thats when you turn the selector switch to forward & it will resume moving towards the take up reel & the light comes on. One more clik and you have Sound.

Hope that helps
