I am traveling to Paris in a week or so and was wondering if there are any shops in the city that still sells super 8 films and/or equipment. I know it's a long shot, but it would be great to stumble across some super 8 stuff on my trip. I would appreciate any leads from Jean-Marc or any other collectors in France. Thanks!

Brian... I think France is the heaven for 8mm films. I found many interesting items there. And their Film Office releases are always in good colour (they used mostly AGFA instead of Eastman).

JM may help you in this regard.

cheers et bon voyage,

....Well, they must make a living in a hard world-harder for film buffs in France I'd guess.....that's the downside of it.....

I can't believe I came all the way to Paris and that store is closed for the whole month of August. What a bummer!

Brian, sorry I missed you but I was away most of the month. These small specialized shops tend to close in the summer as it's quite costly to keep them opened. I know the owner, he's an enthusiats but be aware as prices are sometimes steep (a 400fter is 45.00 euros/ 65.00 USD)
