Hi Michael,
you would need to switch the built in filter switch to artificial light (a light bulb symbol).
from what I know from the net (always suspect) this camera spots only 40asa and 160asa so it will probably overexpose 64t by two thirds of a stop.
But I seriously recommended checking out this link http://super8wiki.com/index.php/Super_8_EKTACHROME_64T_motion_picture_film_exposed_in_old_cameras#Cameras_that_will_not_meter_correctly.2C_but_have_manual_override

prior to running the film as it is also possible that the camera will misread the cartridge as 160asa. This site has a notch checker that you can print out to check this with.

As the mini3 seems to have an external meter this is probably something that will allow you to correct the exposure by use of a neutral density filter either over the lens or the meter eye dependant on how the camera reads the 64t notch,
John

Hi Michael!
Here is a link of a film shot with an Eumig Nautica (which is basically the same as an Eumig Mini 3 but water tight) using Ektachrome 64T: Eumig Nautica + 64T
I think this looks very good and you should try to use it without any adjustment. If you want to be acurate you'd have to put a grey filter in front of the lens that is equal to 2/3 of a stop.

You don't need a filter as it has one built in already.

If you do nothing the filter is in place anyway, so OK for using tungsten film in daylight.

I can't remember how you disengage the filter if you want to film under tungsten lights with a Mini 3.

The info in Super8wiki for Mini 3 models is wrong, you cannot adjust +/- from the auto reading, only + (backlight control).

To manually disengage filter you use a "key" (supplied with camera)in the slot on the top. (The slot is for mounting a movie light, so removes filter at the same time).

Thanks everyone for the info. I'll try using the camera "as is" and see what the results are like before I invest in a 2/3 of a stop ND filter. Talking of which, does anyone know who sells these? MIKE
