I have a Noris Norimat Electronic projector (the one with a tape-deck integrated at the back) and am trying to change the main fuse. I gather this sits under a circular cap on the base of the housing, next to the switch to choose the correct current. But when I remove the cap, no fuse comes out, though I see a what looks like a circular metal cap (with a tiny hole in it), which could well be the base of a fuse (see image at - ). I don't want to force it out -does anyone know how to access / change the fuse??
Also, where can I access a manual for the projector?

Hi Avi,
here's a link http://www.super8-projektor.de/index.php?site=downloads&kategorie=12 which should let you download a manual (the slower download rate is free),
John

Added:
I've just looked at the manual for your machine and it's all in German! - it's the 7MB file, on pages 4/5 it's item 38 and the side text seems to suggest this would be a 1 or 2 amp fuse depending on the mains voltage.
I'll let someone who is familiar with the machine to chip in, but I think your suspicion that you were looking at the fuse is correct. I've seen a similar situation with a video lamp fuse (it was German too)

Hi, John

That's really helpful - does not matter that the manual is in German (so am I....).

Still trying to figure out how to remove the fuse, as it should just slide out (according to the manual), but does not come out. Any ideas greatly appreciated!

Hi Avi,
I would be inclined to bend a pin tip, put this into hole in the end of the fuse and pull the fuse out using the pin end like a hook,
John

Many thanks for the tip, David
. It turns out that it was a half-turn - push mechanism. The fuse was actually OK, but not secured properly. Once done tight, it worked fine. I am very relieved. Thanks again for your help, also with the manual.
