just a simple question: Was "Raiders of the lost ark" a Derann-Release ? In Germany it was released by Jörg Harnischmacher, but this copy has german titles. Mine has english ones. Was it released by Derann ?
Regards, Michael

No, it's German. Mine too has english titles but was a German import off the first run of prints.

Don't know Michael... I purchased the print from Perry's when they had two of the first run prints about 15 years ago. I'd just finished paying off 'The Empire Strikes Back' and when unexpectedly purchasing that I stated, 'the only other feature I'd ever really like now is Raiders of the Lost Ark' knowing it never stood a chance of being released! Three months later Ian telephoned me at work to tell me he had another feature I might be interested in. I replied, 'Ian, there is no way you could sell me anything after Empire as I'm skint!' Well, it was Raiders so I was to be skint for a further three months!
I haven't run it for about 18 months but I don't recall the titles being in German. 'Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade' certainly has German titles. If I get a chance I'll run Raiders again. Currently I've left the last 1200ft reel of '2001 A Space Odyssey' end out on the projector as it needs Thermofilm owing to drying out and crazing.
