Hi French and Belgium members,

In this forum there is a bit info on Film Office but in my experience I never got disappointed with Film Office releases because they accidentally are on AGFA.

My questions are:

1. I found that Film Offices releases (animation) include:

a. Asterix
b. Popeye
c. Tom & Jerry
d. Looney Tunes
e. Spiderman
f. Pink Panther
g. ??

Did I miss any?

2. Are those Film Offices released on AGFA (low fade) or any of them also on Eastman/Kodak SP?

3. Not about Film Office, what about Walt Disney releases, are they on AGFA or Kodak SP/Eastman?

thanks,

Winbert,

To your list, you may add:
- Adventures of Baron Munchausen (Jean Image animation)
- Gulliver (Max Fleisher)
- Lucky Luke (belgian/french produced animated western
- Mighty Mouse
- Gedeon (french produced cartoon about a little duck)
- Kiri the Clown (animated puppets)
- The Ant and the Aardvark (from the pink panther producers)
- Barnabe (never seen any of these)

Of the Looney tunes, they only had Bugs Bunny shorts. The other characters were released by Hefa film.

Disney releases were done through Film Office. Some of the boxes feature the Film Office logo, especially the early generic boxes.

Some of the reels I own are fading (a few Disney films) so I don't think all of the prints were made on Agfa stock.

Some AGFA stock has been known to fade or desaturate, especially earlier prints. I'm not sure AGFA could be called a true "low fade" stock.

Thanks JM,

Yes I just found one of my French Disney is from Film Office. The cover is the generic one with FO logo. But later I also see the Disney cover (artwork) that exactly the same with the American releases, are those also from Film Office?

Since you just mention your Disney, does it mean Asterix, T&J, Bugs Bunny, Pink Panther and Lucky Luke (since they are myt favorite) are on AGFA?

Winbert, yes all Disney releases were made through Film Office.

I haven't noticed any fading on the other titles I own (T&J, Pink Panther, Lucky Luke) and, on the ones I checked, I didn't see any stock information.

Hi everyone,

Well, I confirm:

Film Office release a lot of film: cartoons but also a lot of other films like: La grande Vadrouille, le corniaud, Don Camillo ( frensh films ), Citizen Kane, some John Wayne films,...

But I don't remember any fading colors with Film Office.
For exemple: Citizen Kane... Heu.... Sorry, it's black & white...
:-)

Hi,
Today I found a Film Office copy of John Ford's "The fugitive" (Dieu est mort), and it says it's an abridged version (checking with IMDB it seems only 5 minutes are missing). The copy is in excellent conditions and I wonder how many features FO released.

Is there any chance to find a list?

Fabrizio, the Film Office catalogue would be too long to reproduce here. Check out Ebay France regularly as these show up from time to time.

JM,is there a way you can post a page of a Film Office catalogue with the FRENCH FULL FEATURE releases? I'd love to know which French films were copied in S-8,and as far as I know it was only them that made any;am I asking for too much? [Roll Eyes]
