Last year I sold of a spare GS1200 I had to Pat and at the time my wife was very pleased that at long last I was cutting back on picking up projectors however shortly after selling it a Elmo ST600M twin track came up for sale and it turned out to be Pat... so I landed up buying it....after all it is an "Elmo" so much for cutting back someone once said that collecting films and projectors is only a hobby what idiot said that? anyway what a nice little projector.
a lube was all that was required
I like the black finish
running some film through it.
This projector looked like it had little use and ran really well, the image was steady and the picture was sharp. The volume control was smooth to use and the sound was nice and clear. I liked everything about this model of projector and would certainly recommend one, hopefully it should run for many many years to come.

Very nice
I have the same projector (sort of, the ST180M) but with another finish on it

This projector is a lot more like the ST-800 than either is like the ST-1200. (What does it look like with the film path showing?)
The differences are the ST-800 has the power inlet in the back of the machine and most of the sound circuitry is in on a board behind the volume knob. Where this machine has what looks like a sound board on top of the motor, the ST-800 has a bracket with the power transistor for the last stage of the audio amp (...or is it for the motor speed control? Won't find out for certain until it fails, I guess).
ST-800 is monaural, some were supposed to be optical+magnetic. Any I've seen have been magnetic only.
These simpler Elmos aren't as Ferrari-Like as for example the GS, but they do a good day's work pretty reliably and well.

Thanks Joe I feel like re-painting my other Elmo projectors like Gian has done would make them look more modern.
Steve here is the film path.
Elmo ST800. Regarding the Emo ST180 two track here is a photo that was taken a while ago.
looks like its running at 1000fps I once sat the ST180 next to a GS1200 to compare the on screen brightness the little ST180 was brighter the reason was the GS was using the 200 watt EJL lamp "not anymore" fitting a 1.1 lens to a ST180 or ST800 12v/100watt makes those projectors look really good
