ah yes...Demaio is still around..comes to the Columbus Cinevent every year with his lovely wife. Now he's in the movie poster business and sometimes puts a 16mm feature or two on ebay. Back in the 70's he sold me my first brand new Elmo st1200Hd..which I still have and which still works..although it needs new springs for the gate. He's a nice fellow and had a number of Super 8 releases under his own label.
Jim's Film sales... Jim is still selling super 8 and 16mm films on ebay...and is a very nice guy who knows the value of films and knows quality. I bought a gorgeous print of the feature, North by Northwest from him a few months ago.

Not including the BIG companies (Blackhawk, etc), these are the small companies I dealt with in my first prime collecting period (1975-1982):
L.A. Films A-M-H Films Hollywood Film Exchange Crescent Film Club (for my British purchaces).
When I started back collecting in the late 80's, I sometimes used:
Steven Vilino Films (or something like that) JEF Films Reel Image (Connecticut) Reel to Reel Films (NY,NY)

Yes-
I forgot to mention Canterbury and Steel Valley. When I watch their prints, I believe they used the same labs. The picture was always steady and crisp-sharp, with strong sound tracks. This unfortunately was not always the case with the west-coast companies, like Hollywood Film Exchange, Crescent/Thunderbird, Steve Vilino Films, etc.
