A month or so ago i decided i wanted my Elmo 1200HD M&O serviced professionaly. From several articles and by word of mouth from many people i gave Bill Parsons a ring and shortly afterward packaged my machine off via parcelforce. Although running reasonably well i did suddenly have a problem with wow and flutter,(as per a previous post), the optical sound just wasnt working at all, & it was always very low on volume when it was working, films took many feet to get the sound going without warbbling.
I was in a fortunate postion to have built up a small stock of parts from Hanimax so with the machine went three new rollers (lowers) 2 springs for the bulb connector and four new head pressure pads.
i promised Bill i wouldnt pester him at all once it had gone and will not ask to negotiate any pricing, what an engineer tells me i'm happy with and any pricing i will agree, you either want the best or you dont in my view.
just a couple weeks down the road Bill rang me to inform me of what he found wrong, and there were several faults and having got it back tonight and fired her up i am please to tell everyone that Bill Parsons is definatly the man for your Elmo repairs and service, its running perfectly, not a single bit of wow and flutter, the speed is right there in a flash,& as for the optical sound, this is now better than at any time in its 20 year history with me, and it was Hanimax who last had it for a major service, that was a mistake. They were at the time the appointed service outlet. Tho i do miss Candy, she was brilliant on the phones and new the machines very well.
As well as this, my Elmo has now had a good service. I have now decided in the spring that i shall be sending the one i have just got off ebay in order to make sure all systems are functioning as they should be.
Thanks Bill if your reading this, it was worth every single penny.
By the way, the biggest tip for anyone wishing to send theres to Bill is when packing it, use shed loads of bubble wrap and a box within a box, even parcel force couldnt damage it [Big Grin] [Wink]

They are on the BFCC website or his e mail is

bill(at)bparsons97(dot)plus(dot)com

I cant stress enough how much better it is to have a proffesional engineer who knows these models inside out.
