I have just received a T&J "MOuse for sale" in a plain box.

So I checked on the leader it says "Ken". It was printed on AGFA so the color has not faded at all.

Now I have checked all the postings here and never found or mentioned about Ken's release for this title nor I ever found the original cover of this particular title.

So how come the leader says "Ken"?

Any explanation?

Didn't Derann acquire the Ken negatives to the T/J titles along with some of the features? I have this title myself, and knew it was from Derann, so will have to check the leaders to see what mine says, but I know Derann released this title.

It's possible that, if it was printed toward the end of the 8mm heyday, the cartoon was already contracted for release under the MGM banner (which KEN distributed, but in MGM packaging). When things began to collapse, KEN, in an attempt to create a proactive strike, may have cancelled all future printings after the first cycle (which was normally no more than 25-75 copies depending on the company) - cancelled any litho agreement to be signed for box art (which would explain the plain white box) - and there were, for obvious reasons, no plans for any more catalogs (which explains its absence from any of KEN's brochures). You may have quite the collectors' item.
