I have aquired these two 400ft colour sound films from Fletcher home movies.
1/ 1400 Zulu, it explains, at 1400 Zulu navy time around the world we see action from the operational rooms at Whitehall to a guided missile destroyer off Bermuda. Off Gilbralta we see planes launched off a carrirer, cruisers off Singapore and a commander ship off Malta. All in all its full of action and in excellent condition.
2/ The Buccaneers, the worlds most mobile fighting force, filmed on and around the carrier HMS Eagle. also incudes Scimiars, Gannets, Vixens & the Buccaneers.
Both films are in superb condition and were bought home from HMS Ark Royal many years ago, the previous Ark Royal not the one recently sold off.
Were these films part of a series as i have never seen these before at all and cant remember seeing them for sale on any new lists in the 70s or 80s. Both are in original hard plastic cases with full inserts intact with photo shots.
I have cleaned them today and am looking forward to viewing them early next week.

Hi Tom.
My local film supplier used to stock many Fletcher films in the 70’s and I think you will find others of the type you have listed around. I don’t know a great deal about Fletch but did buy quite a few of what were at the time low price films which also included Bela Lugosi’s which were of great interest. Think I am right in that most prints from them were issued on Acetate stock and could be a bit jumpy on projection so do need lubricating.
