Having seen that great selling price for "Singing in the Rain" as well as the screenshots from it on the auction, I'm wondering which print might be the best? Derann or the earlier MGM/Ken Films release.
By the way, anybody feel free to correct my assumption of Ken Films, I just think it was a Ken Films full feature release. I might be wrong.
How is the color saturation, sharpness, grain on the two prints from the two companies? I would assume DErann would be better, but I'm not sure. Also, could someone perhaps do a side by side comparison of the two, (perhaps we could lift the screenshots off of that auction for the comparison?)
I ask as, this print that just sold is a FUJI print, and I'm betting that DErann used either AGFA or LPP for thier prints ...
or, is what we were witnessing on that auction an earlier Derann print, as Derann did most certainly use FUJI in the 70's?
