Yes, that's correct Hugh. This was released around '77 by Columbia Pictures super 8.
I have this film. Its an interesting piece too. It takes the viewer to different locations in the Holy Land, with a little narration, and usually a subtitle identifying the scene. Towards the end, there is a sort of re-enactment of carrying the Cross through the town (it seems to be some sort of cerimony).
I did some research on this movie a while ago. While not much infor is available, I did find out that it is a slightly edited version of the original short, which runs closer to 30 minutes. Apparently, in the original short, there is more footage of original artwork paintings, and the paintings are tied into the locations that are shot. Its a nice unique little film, and very sedate.
My print has not turned red, but does not have much color, and appears to have some fade. I bet this was a beautiful print at some time, with lots of outside/nature footage.
James.

I like this film and I currently have 2 copies that are somewhat faded, so I was interested in the reference in the listing to the film "retaining its colour". I therefore asked a couple of questions. The reply was:
"I can confirm that this reel has been tested and, as stated, the audio is clear and the film has retained its colour. There are no scratches. There is a warm glow to the film, but in my personal opinion, this does not distract from the film and it has still retained its colour. There is the standard white leader at the start of the film, but no numerical countdown. It opens with the Columbia logo."
Although the sellers seem sincere, I'm inclined to think their "warm glow" is a nice alternative to saying faded!
It's interesting to see the information from James. Maybe it's the only Columbia 400' release, other than cartoons, that wasn't edited from a feature.
