I got this offer:

 -

When I asked what is the compression ratio for this lens which is usually written on the lens body. His answer is as follows:

quote:
There is no ratio on the body. But on the attachment it says 16mm Super D Proval 2 inch f/1.4
So:

1. Do you think this lens can be used in any projector or just for B&H

2. are they good anamorphic lenses?

cheers,

They look like the real deal to me Winbert, the compression factor
would be written as 2x.

Thanks Hugh,

But he said nothing about 2x.

In fact when he said about attachment, he sent pictures as follow:

I can't see why not Winbert, it's just that the lenses I'm used to
handling are a bit larger than the ones shown.I'm wondering if
this isn't a combination lens of prime & anamorphic, it's certainly
slimmer than any 'scope lens I have.

I have one. It's a superb, sharp lens, but I can't use it with an Elmo because you can't get the first element close enough to the front of the Elmo lens to prevent bad vignetting. But screwed onto a B&H prime, particularly their sharp f1.2 50mm, and it looks really, really good.

Too bad I have no scope 16mm films! [Embarrassed]
