I got a free Eumig 614D projector (well, I gave him 15 bucks anyway, even if he said I could have it) ... Got this with a 400' take up reel, a screen and a lamp for filming

I see it uses 100w bulbs, I was expecting 75w ... Is this the same as the Eumig Mark-S 710D lamp? It looks the same to me

Thank you

Hello Vidar,

The Eumig 614 and the 710 use the same type of lamp (100 W, 12 V, EFP)

The 614 is a very nice sprocketless little propjector.

Regards,

Jon

Super, then I have spare lamps :-)

Will test it now

Thank you

Update : Tested, lamp wasn't broken, as I tested a new one and no light there either. I replugged it and then it suddenly sprung to life. Changed back to the old bulb that was in there, same happens and it works. I can not however focus this thing ... I looked at the lens, which was loose and it seems like a small pin or something is broken off. I believe this should go into the focus ring thingy which has these passages (or whatever) in circles on the back. I get fine picture if I hold the lens and twist a little, but it pops right out if I release it. Anyone can confirm that there should be a small pin on the lens? If so, I'll try to fix something in there and see if I can get it focused. If not, anyone have a cheap crappy lens they want to get rid of cheap? Must fit this 614D model of course :-)

Perhaps this only happens in Norway. As I have remarked before, I offered a free working Bell and Howell 636 projector on this site some time ago, with no response!

I'd love it, but the shipping is killing totally ... This was a pick up thing, so no cost.

I did find out, the lens should have a steering pin ... Broken off

I have an old 636 Michael,and It has a feature that I can't
understand why B&H didn't fully continue on all their models,
which was the adjustable gate masking.

Vidar, there is usually a focusing pin there, and they are a bloody
nuisance. I repaired one for my friends son,by drillig into the
point where the plastic pin had been and putting in a small brass
screw, similar to the ones in 13 amp plugs. With a little bit of trial and error, filing the pin for correct depth it worked a treat and he
had no further trouble with it.

This is my plam too. :-)

I guess if I wreck it, it's not the most expensive lens, right?
