Hello! I'm brand new to the world of 8mm film and I recently been digging aroudn and found a kodak hawkeye 8 that takes 8mm film and is in great condition. I was wondering about what would a good film type would be to start out with? What should I be looking for in a projector? How much is to much to spend on a projector? Any tips would help. I'm also going to get a projector so I wont need to get my film scanned to a dvd. Also Walmart sends out 8mm film for around 15 bucks right?
Any tips would help.
Thanks,
Wesley

Welcome to movie making.
Try and find some Kodak Ektachrome 64T which will get you started. Your cine camera dates from the late 1960's I think and I myself used to use a similar model in the 1970's which gave excellent results. Just check though the cine camera might also need the little PX13 button cell to power the internal light meter as well as a couple of AA batteries OK.
