There was a full feature release done of this title that was reviewed in FFTC and the print was not good, looking as though it had been copied from video plus a bad soundtrack that kept loosing sync.Perhaps a print on 16mm would be a better option.

Iīdonīt belive it, 35mm prints are extreme rare for this title (if you mean the 1951 version). Maybe they make a dupe negative from a 16mm print but this is not the money worth. Its better to search for a 16mm print, they are lot of prints around.

Hi Kevin ,Hugh , could never understand why this was never a feature on super 8 by any of the big players at the time , fantastic thought provoking film . If you need any one to join the list put my name on it because I would love a copy in my collection . I almost bid on a copy on 16mm on ebay some time back and I don't even have a projector to play it on lol.

Although I believe there were only 10 prints, I did temporarily own the CHC feature. I wouldn't say it looked liked it was from a video source, but the master had quite a few splices and far more in the way of dust and specks on the negative than I've ever seen before. The Ken 200' version isn't bad but such a great film really deserved to be at least a 400'.

I was just repeating the review in FFTC, which wasn't a good one, it also said the sound speeded up and slowed down to try and hold sync. It also said that if there was a point to be made showing off s/8 print quality, this wasn't the print to use to prove it as it had a video look to it printed on colour stock, "My Darling Clementine" shared a similar review.

Depending on cost and print quality, I could be tempted with this film. I always admired Michael Rennie as an actor and a Yorkshireman.
Can they print on real B/W stock now?

Both my prints of "Raiders Lost Ark" and Last Crusade" suffer from the same problems, although the print itself is good.

I have purchased a few B&W cartoon prints from CHC, on B&W film stock, and they are stunning! Just perfect in contrast and sharpness. So I hope they are still using the same lab for B&W prints. Then, it will just be a matter of getting a good negative.
