I volunteer in a charity shop for a small charity based in Glasgow, Scotland. We've had a projector donated and I was hoping to get a little help with getting a valuation for it as my research has taught me there is great variation between models.
The one we have is a EUMIG Mark 8 702/561 boxed, still with all of it's paperwork. A couple of 8 mm films and a Minetter viewe editor super single 8 43002
Even though it just came in today I've already had a couple of people interested in it but I have no idea what to charge, I wouldn't want to rip anyone off but likewise it's kind of my responsibility to maximise the money going to the charity.
any help you could be would be greatly appreciated

Hi Chris.
The big issue here is "does the projector work?". This makes the difference between it being a usable machine and being no better than a pile of spare parts. (Still sellable...)
When you plug it in, does anything happen? (Is what happens good?) When you twist the selector switch, do the spindles turn, does the lamp light up?
If you have a sound film, you should be able to thread it up and see an image and hear the sound (Do you have the manual?)
Here is a manual for the Eumig 810D, maybe close enough...
Once you've established the condition, e-bay can give you an idea what the market value is (epecially completed auctions...)
Your venue to sell this can be kind of critical. Most people don't use these any more and to them it's nothing more than a fancy door stop and worth pocket change (-at most...). The 8mm sales section here or maybe E-bay might work better at finding a serious buyer who appreciates it.
The editor is much simpler. Does the lamp light? If you put through a film does it focus?
