I picked up a Elmo ST1200 that seems to work well in all regards except the lamp. I bought a new bulb and installed it but still no light... I know the bulb is good as I also have a 1200D and tried it in that. Bulb is good.
The fuses look to be okay too. The pilot light does not illuminate either.
Any thoughts from this learned group?
Thanks,
Lee

Clean the pins on the lamp holder ... Maybe? Check the lamp switch for on position (joking ;-))

The pins look good and clean.
And believe me I did check the lamp on and off switch too [Smile]

If you have a voltmeter take a voltage reading in the socket pin holes. This will tell you if voltage is getting to the bulb. Also, if you can get to the switch(with power off) take a continuity reading with turning the switch on and off. When it comes to power problems you have to trace it back.

Good luck! [Wink]

There appears to be. There are two fuses behind the rear cover. They both appear to be okay though. Maybe I should try to get a couple new ones anyway?

Pat - No voltmeter... Not sure I'd know what to do with one anyway. [Smile]

Lee

I would once again give those lamp pins a spotless clean with some 300/400 wet/dry rubbing down paper "what panel shops use on cars" then try again, "wiggle" the lamp holder a bit, while the lamp switch is on...it might kick into life. In the past its either those pins or the holder has been the problem, they just get corroded over time.

Graham.

Graham - You're a genius. All it took was wiggling the socket and the light came right on.
I supposed that's that analog equivalent of "shut it down and reboot it..." [Smile]

Thanks all!
