Well done Pat, it just makes it clearer I think that the industry just might have shot itself in the foot, people can view as good in their own homes, without the hassle of going to the viewing point, notice how I refuse to use the term "cinema".

Hugh
Funny thing is I am actually working on a feature film now as an extra and it is being shot in film for 2014 release. I can't say the title but the cameras are Panavision 35mm . They change films every 2-3 minutes of shooting.

Ironically, although the item is about 35mm ending, it says the switch will be completed in 2 years, so confirming that 35mm will continue to be seen in NZ cinemas for considerably longer than many countries.

The chap that features in this news item Warren Smyth started film projection when he was 15 years old. He is a editor for TVNZ in Auckland.
Warren, Trevor and their wifes came round here one night a couple of years back when visiting from Auckland. Keen to show of Super 8 I ran a 1200ft reel of film, mostly Derann stuff.....I dont think Warren had seen Super 8 looking that good
