I list below the correct answers to my recent Summer competition.

Q1) An American Werewolf in Paris Holiday
Q2) School of Rock Around The Clock
Q3) Pretty in Pink Cadilac
Q4) Legends of the Fall Time
Q5) Bob Hope Springs
Q6) Dinner at Eight Legged Freaks
Q7) I spit on your Grave of the Vampires
Q8) Around the world in eighty Days of Thunder
Q9) Blue Thunder Road
Q10)High road to China Moon

There you have it, and the winner was Doug Meltzer, congratulations to him, but this will most probably be the last ever competition I'll run, as I only had about 25 entries in total (17 All Correct), and I'm afraid that is way too low for the prize given.

Barry,

Thank you so much. I'm thrilled I won, I just wish there were a greater number of entries.

Doug

Y'know, it's such a drag to hear that people don't support the existing dealers in stuff like this. It doesn't take more than a few minutes to enter.

Dear Rob,

I like setting the competitions, but when I only get 25 entries from a possible hundreds from the 3 forums and my regular customers on my paperlists, it is a poor return.

If this will be the very last competition/contest from you, then I'm sure that I speak for a lot of people Barry in saying a hearty "THANK YOU" for keeping this kind of thing going for much longer than anybody else has!

Cheers!

Thanks for all the positive remarks, but I bet if I had a one answer competition, and all you had to do to enter was send the answer together with name and address, I doubt very much I'd get any more entries than normal. I've tried many different types of competitions over the years, all with the same kind of result, I think the most entries I've ever had for a competition was about 40 in total.

I will think about it once again, perhaps I'll make up a quiz that even a 7 year old could complete, perhaps that might help some of the film collectors out (I'm not even sure this would work!).

No competition next issue, but we'll see for the November/December issue.

Barry, personally, I don't get why more collectors don't enter.

I mean you're GIVING AWAY £30.00 worth of film!!

And it is fun to boot. [Smile]

Puzzling...

Please give it another go and we'll all do our best to publicise it. [Smile] [Smile] [Smile]

Rob, in my case, the answer is easy : English is not easy for me and I couldn't find many answers.

You could make it reel simple ...

"What is your name?"

Now, the funny part of it is, are you asking what YOUR name is, or the person entering the contest? (snicker)
