I went to a Toy Fair yesterday and one dealer had a whole load of model railway items, Hornby, Triang, locos, carriages, trucks, track, and one solitary item all by itself, a Super 8 400' film. British Transport Film's "Joe Brown at Clapham". It looked superb, still in its original square plastic box with the well-known yellow label.

"How much for this film?"
"£12"
"Would you accept £10"
"Oh........OK"

Now here's a question for Ian. The label says Perry's Movies Ltd, but also has the words A Barry Wiles Films release. Did Barry originally release it himself and then did Perry's take over distribution? Or did Perry's obtain the original distribution rights?

For those unfamiliar with the film, Joe Brown, himself an ex-railwayman, takes a tour of the Transport Museum at Clapham, tells a short and entertaining history of the Railways, and sings a couple of old railway songs.

I've got that film and its one of my favourites. You got a bargain there I think. Even though it features a very young Joe Brown, he hasn't changed that much has he.
