I have just plucked up the courage to run a Derann feature through the Beaulieu today since it returned from Bill Parsons workshop.
I had run several other features through it since it's return, all went through the machine perfectly with no trace of the dreaded scratching that was happening before my well documented discovery of a poor set up in the top sprocket guide. This however was testing my nerve to the limit entrusting a mint Derann Disney print through it!
I opted for Aladdin to try out the Stereo soundtrack as much as anything, and I was completely blown away by the overall performance of this presentation when projected on a 10ft screen with stereo extension speakers connected.
I set the shutter to two blade mode and cranked the sound up quite loud by having the volume adjusted to halfway on its scale. The image quality and clarity was just stunning! Sound was fantastic with loads of stereo effects being a fairly modern Disney feature and even booming bass from the pair of 8 inch woofers in the external cabs.... Just fantastic!
Whatever magic Bill has spread over this machine, it has certainly worked a treat! The sound was good before but had nowhere near the amount of bass it has now.
The best news of all for me was that the film projected from start to finish without a single trace of a mark anywhere in sight. Now I really am in H.C.H!!

Andrew, brilliant news and so glad you are at last able to relax and enjoy the Beaulieu.
My Beaulieu owners club thread was short lived and quite right too perhaps in retrospect, as there are maybe too many topics to cover regarding Beaulieu peculiarities in one thread!
I thought I may have more time to contribute, but have been a bit busy.
Anyway, having read your continuing advice to other Beaulieu owners, I think maybe "you're the guy"; certainly your advice is proving second to none!
Good luck with the projector, enjoy your films...and I hope you don't mind if I ask your advice next time my own Beaulieu develops "issues"!!!

I tried to post a fairly long post of gratitude regarding yourself Rob, Bill Parsons and others but unfortunately for whatever reason it breached moderators rules??? Anyhow I think the Beaulieu owners thread is already proving a fantastic success and will continue to be used and act as a really useful tool for learning about the "quirks" of these machines as I currently am being new to the Beaulieu.
All advice through our shared experiences is valued by myself and hopefully others feel the same

I cannot now Douglas as I deleted it to write another as seen on here. I have to say, I was really surprised myself as there was nothing contentious (as ever) and all I was doing was singing the praises of the forum and it's members who have been really helpful with me.
