Does any-one know where or who sells these? or has any-one a template for making a DIY box from sheet card?...

In card, they used to be sold by Cine Supplies but sadly no longer.

800ft Card boxes are the most difficult to produce for super 8mm.
The reason Steve, is because there is at least 3 different outside diameter sizes in 800ft spools and therefore no one box size suits all.

The largest were Elmo, Sankyo and Taylor reels to name only three, while some of the smaller ones include Eumig & Grazzo.

In between the two lies Bonum, Schneider, Posso and Gepe for example.

Steve Osbourne at The Reel Image sells 800ft boxes that are a perfect fit for the Elmo 800ft reels, but are loose for the smaller 800ft reels used on Eumig 900 machines.

My reels are 10.5 inch, would they fit these?...

As these boxes are made to fit the largest 800ft spools then I am sure these would fit your reels Steve.

I am only sorry no one in the UK is stocking this size anymore for the demand reasons and the reasons stated earlier regarding the varying sizes in 800ft reels.
