Every once in awhile, I'll bid on something for no other reason than I want the reel the films are on, and it's at such a great price, I can't keep myself from bidding on it, in this case, it was a 600ft Bonum reel and case in excellent condition ...

It had three Disney 200ft titles on it, and two I had never seen, one being "America on parade', Ok, but the really nice find was "The beautiful Briny" which was the second digest from 'Bednobs and Broomsticks", the first being the much more common digest, "Match of the Century".

The nice thing, apart from being hard to find, (I rarely see it offered on ebay), is that it has very nice color, about a 9 out of 10. Fun!

They are a nice reel Osi those Bonum ones.
I always try and put my films on these or Gepe or Posso.

If you can't find Elmo reels, these are just as good up to 800ft.

I bought several Bonum 800ft reels and cases just after the Super 8 boom, from a camera shop that was glad to get rid of them at a discount. The shop moved and now has closed, not sure if it was due to digital photography or death of the owner.
