Hello all,

I am very new here so know very little. I am watching a auction for superman super 8mm on 3x400ft in original boxes. The seller says it is a pink tint.

How much is a good price to pay?

Hello Daniel and welcome,

I hope it isn't too pink as my print of this still has excellent colour and therefore I would expect more of them out there to be likewise.

I paid around £60 for mine on 1x1200ft spool all spliced together and it included a trailer to Superman 2 at the end and also included some sections of the 400ft version making it slightly longer but obviously with more joins in the film.

It was in great condition when i first got it and thankfully still is.

Hope this helps and hope you find a nice print if you decide this particular one isn't for you for whatever reason.

As you are in a very warm country, please ensure all of your films are stored in a cool dry place otherwise the high temperatures will accelerate the fading on any prints you may buy. This was said just in case you were not already aware of this Daniel.

Hello Andrew,

Thanks for the reply.

The copy is currently 40 pound might see if I can get it for no more than 45.
