Does anyone know how to remove the lens ? On all the other projectors I have, the lens is easily removed by turning it (sometimes you have to pull the knob) but on the Chinon, it seems to be strongly fixed.

Hi Dominique,

To remove the Chinon lens first remove the front cover.
Now you can see the knob and get a proper grip on it.

Then spray some oil onto the shaft. Then turn and pull the knob out till it moves out about 1 mm. Then the lens will slide out without any problem.

good luck with it.

Thank you, Frank. It worked with oïl ! However, it led me to another problem (impossible to solve) : I wanted to replace the lens by another Chinon one (1.2 instead of 1.3) but the other lens is another model. It seems that the non standardisation is not a recent phenomenon. When I will be able to do that, I will check if this 1.2 lens fits one of my other (non Chinon)projectors. I may be Lucky.
