in this case, I'm not speaking of super 8 films that were liscenced for check outs on reels, but those companies that had the cartidge style feature films that could be checked out?
I, for instance, was lucky enuf to buy a few super 8 optical sound features from a fellow who bought a big lot of these features, (he advertised them on here about five or more years ago). That's where i got my "Peanuts" features films as well as "Vera Cruz". I still have one of those cassette boxes with the neat old illustrations for this specific company ... I'll take a picture of it for you, hopefully tonight ...
... but I believe that these technicolor cartridge feature film libraries were not just in south Africa and I'm betting were a lot more widespread than we'd know these days. I'm pretty sure that there were some in the U.S. (can't verify that for sure) as well as at various other places in the world.
Can anyone add any other info on this?
