Can we have an in-depth discussion on projector lens cleaning? Many projector lenses, particularly the Elmo lenses, seem to suffer from condensation and fogging issues, all of which result in light scatter and poor picture contrast. What we need is the expertise, and specific step-by-step instructions, of someone here who has successfully disassembled the Elmo lenses, cleaned them, and reassembled them. I would like to clean my Elmo 1.0 lens, but I can't even budge the retaining sleeve. I can see light scatter in the lens, and it bugs me that I can do nothing about it.
