I always hear Derann highly praised (and justifyingly so), but I just wanted to praise some of these others ...

Independent 8 (Barry Attwood) U.K.

Barry Attwood's super 8 film selling company is absolutely top notch! I have never gotten a print that is not completely as described and his shipping is very quick and always arrives as it should. Barry himself, is a gentleman and a pleasure to converse with, even if you aren't particularly buying a print at the time. he has an extensive collection of personal information on super 8 that is second to none! His prices are always quite reasonable, as well!

Perry's Films (Ian O Reilly) U.K.

Ian has this incredible ability to locate the incredibly odd print that no one and I mean NO ONE (not even Derann), has ever been able to come up with on any list! I still wonder how he finds them, but I am most certainly happy that he does!! Ian is also quite the gentleman, always accurate with his descriptions and if there is ever a problem with a purchase, he bends over backwards to make things right, (as Barry and the others do as well). Ian is also a "scholar" when it comes to Super 8 and it's history and is always a pleasure to contact/e-mail and chew the "celluloid fat"!

Classic Home Cinema (Phil Sheard) U.K.

Man, what grand things can you say for a person who not only is a film seller, but a new prints film provider?!! Along with our own Steve in the U.S. Phil has done an amazing job of keeping these releases coming and is a true fan of the hobby. I mean, the dude even has a magazine that he produces out of love for the hobby! I have not had the pleasure of talking to him much, but every conversation/e-mail has been a pleasure. Kudos to Phil and his team!! (some nifty prints on his list as well).

The Reel Image (Steve Osbourne) U.S.

As anybody in the U.S. (and no doubt, quite a few abroad), can attest to, Steve is one of the sweetest, most decent fellows out there, going out of his way to being you absolutely great used film lists, incredibly fast shipping, and those amazing personal touches that he doesn't even have to do. Quite often, I will find some neat film related "extra" shipped with my films that I get from him, and his listing are always accurate AND just about the lowest rock bottom prices for very good prints of titles that you would usually find much higher on ebay, but not with the personal touches that Steve gives. Above all of that, he, (like Phil), has prodced his own film mags, the current one being "The Reel Image" a quarterly (I think) collection of all things super 8 (and 16MM), which contains not only his articles or reviews, but also the many one time or constant contributions of many of our fellow collectors. I have never has a single time when I have come away from an "Osbourne" transaction that I wasn't happy with.

So there, the big four, as far as I'm concerned, and all four are well worth the praise I have heaped on them!
