Well I was filming in Nottingham today and it's a long while since I've been there.

I was fondly reminded of the time around the mid 1990's when Tony Shapps of The Widescreen Centre London opened a new shop in Nottingham.

Despite the odds, film and super 8 was actually doing pretty well at that time (Derann providing a stunning and exciting array of new releases).

Tony Shapps called the new shop the "Robin Hood Branch" (funny in more ways than one when you think about it!)
[Wink]

I do wonder though, with greatest respect to Nottingham, why they opened a new shop there of all places?

I believe it closed some years ago.

Anyone have any more info on the shop; did anyone visit?

Never went to it or dealt with this particular branch myself Rob, but I have dealt on many occasions with the London branch as no doubt countless others here will have done.

Last purchase was a few years ago now, for some 600ft Bonun spools and cases.
