Following on from the no power problem on the sankyo 600 we hace traced the problem down to a SCR or Silicon Controlled Rectifier the part needed is a SFOR2B41.
If any body has one of these that there willing to post that would be good of if anyone has a old motor board from a Sankyo 600 for sale that also would be good.
I have a electronics expert working on this for me and he has told me that the part was rare but someone might just have one kicking around.
Barry.

Aparently there is a modern (and common) equivalent: NTE5402

Why not ask your electronics guy to compare the two parts and see if it's at least close enough?

This site lists the NTE5402 is a replacement for the SFOR2B41. http://www.vetco.net/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=4472

Worse come to worse you may need to use the NTE5402 and increase the sensitivity of the gate by adding in a pull-up resistor to the DC voltage operating the circuit, you could even make it a potentiometer to fine tune it.

-getting the original part is the first choice, but it's always nice to have plan "B" in your back pocket.
