Probably a question for our German colleagues, as i'm talking about the old British short comedy that is shown every New Years' Eve on German television. It is a very funny film about a wealthy old woman and her decaying butler played by the mighty Freddie Frinton, who becomes exceptionally inebriated during the course of serving dinner to milady and her imaginary friends. As it's so popular over there I wondered if any 8mm prints were struck, or how viable it would be to track down a 16mm print?
Incidentally, here's a YouTube link to the film - enjoy! Dinner For One

I would doubt it as IMDB shows it being made on videotape though it us often unreliable. Also I think the You Tube picture looks like VT to me.

Yes I thought as much, but I suppose it's possible that a telerecording/Kinescope was made for overseas sales? I recall the (fairly awful) "Disco Beaver From Outer Space" 2 x 400ft Marketing Films release was a Kinescope.

In a similar vein Richard E. Grant is a teetotaller - you'd never believe it watching Withnail & I. Not a drop of alcohol touched his lips during the making of that wonderful comedy; as for lighter fluid though...
