I have also this eror message using Windows IE , I assume there is something to update for the Navigator.....

Did you try "Chrome" Navigator?

What an unbelievable number of films and fantastic titles that were available from Derann, and the prices all seem very reasonable today.
Thank's so much Phil for offering these catalogues, I have successfully downloaded both the '87 and '90 PDF's. They will be invaluable as reference material, and in the search for elusive prints.

Hi Paul,

The Next one to scan is the one introducing "Little Marmaid".
Pages are linked by staples, so , probably I dismantle the catalogue to allow a scan on A3 size for each double page......
Moreover, the next chalenge is to scan to 600 dpi to allow a printout as necessary.....

Looking through this '90 one again just reminded me to give Police Academy 2 another viewing again soon.

Great cut down of this one and a real funny film is this!

This is definitely one of those cases where the cut down is miles better than the full feature with this title. [Smile]

Hi Andrew,

This is a surprise very interesting to point out !!!

I assume the only way to get this result is to used a better negative than used for the feature.

That should be interesting to know how DERANN (and other Producers) manage the way to gain acces to the Negatives sources....

For exemple, did they got acces to the closest materials to achieve Disney prints ???

Did you get "SECRET OF NIMH" (CATALOGUE 90) ? it's a famous one, beautiful print.
From our side, was early converted to french sound from VHS tape, as the Video structure was very closed to the DERANN print.
A Highly recommended "Don Bluth" Animated , Don' t miss it!!!

Then just to emphasize offering these Catalogues is a nice Tribute to DERANN team and job they done......

Yes Phil, I have both of the Don Bluth Derann feature releases, All Dogs Go To Heaven and The Secret Of NIMH. Both are lovely prints though not quite of the standard of the Disney prints.

The Disney prints were taken from the very best master material available Phil, their own negatives from their own Disney Studios vaults.
It gets no better than this!

With police academy 2, I was simply meaning the storyline flows better and more concisely on this cut down than the actual full film. The negative is on par with very many other top feature releases from Derann at that time.
Very little grain, good vibrant colour, great film stock and a pin sharp print.

First time around in the hobby, having purchased many Walton, PM titles and U8 / Marketing prints and the likes plus early Derann prints such as That'll Be The Day and The Devil Rides Out, it was a real eye opener to see a print like this.

It stood head and shoulders above any others I'd previously seen in that era and that includes many of the very sharp optical airline prints i had, which back then, all still had superb unfaded colour throughout.

or in 2 parts both BB, I think I was mistaken if I said NN
earlier.

This was a great find for us, at the time my then Sister in Law asked me what the chances of finding a second hand copy of GWTW was, my first port of call was to P Foster, i asked do you by chance have a second hand copy or do you have one coming in, the reply was classic,
he said "that's weird i am looking at a copy as we speak that came in yesterday, you can have it for £350", i rang the the sister in law back and promptly sent a cheque off, it was to be my Brothers xmas present that year. I have his face on a video tape as he opened it. He never expected that. [Smile]

This was a film he repeatedly watched in the local ABC cinema day after day and got two of the 1970s posters from them.
