Further to my request for a "Elmo ST 600" service manual. Thank you Andrew for details of oldtimerscameras.com, I will add this to my options, I have two ST 600M machines that I bought as Insurance salvage, both have been subject to mains overvolts (one phase went down and blew all the customers electrical items within the household)both of these units have holes in the PSU/motor circuit board and blown electrolytic capacitors, both are ST 600M but have different drive circuits, one has discrete components and the other has a M51970L motor speed control I/C so I am fist looking for schematic diagrams for both versions, I suspect that the I/C version may be on an update to the service manual?? My intension is to manufacture a replacement PCB around the I/C version as they are both pin compatable with each other.
I have been trawling around the site for a couple of days now and it nice to see so much good info and that I am not the only cine freek.
Best regards.
Roy I have run both units from external PSU's and appear to be okay
