My Mom worked at Universal on Park Avenue in the Castle Films division. She was actually kind of a stone-age computer programmer: IBM via punch cards, and she worked in the office that consigned shipments of films out to retailers.
She said it was nothing at all unusual to share an elevator with a movie star and around the Holidays they very often toured the offices thanking people for their work.
She left when I was born, which was when Super-8 was still on the drawing boards, so she strictly kept it to R8 and 16mm.
The funny part is about a year ago I showed her a Castle 200 footer and she told me that 50+ years later it was actually the first time she had ever seen one in person! They only handled film via paperwork!
