Hi everyone!
I have an adapter for a cine camera of my grandfathers on the back of a hypergonar 8 anamorphic lens but it doesnt seem to come off. The camera he has is a Fujica Single-8 p2. The hypergonar fits right on but would one need to be able to remove this adapter to use with a modern camera or can one adapt the adapter?

That lens is really only suitable for prime lens cameras not zooms. I think it would need an adapter on any camera you try to use it with.
I have one of these and only used it with a 15mm non-zoom lens camera with an adapter I made myself. It is also necessary to use the same lens on the projector to get the best results as it is an unusual compression ratio 1.75:1. Most anamorphics are 2:1 but this is to get a real cinemascope 2.35:1 with 8mm.

While I was looking around for ideas on the adapter, I used a bit of IPA to loosen it's hold and the adapter has come off.
From looking in to the camera it was on, i've found that it's a 24mm adapter, but I have no idea who manufactured it
